From the Principal’s Desk October 3, 2008
The Medomak Valley 2008 Homecoming weekend was an unqualified success. It was kicked off with one of the best pep rallies in recent memory. I would like to thank Mr. Matt Lash and Mrs. Audrey Ennamorati for all their help in planning the rally. All classes were actively involved and the school spirit was tremendous. Our sports teams performed well during the weekend with three of four teams winning their contests. The school year is progressing very well with freshmen class elections to be held this week. Also on October 7th the Medomak Valley Student Council will be sponsoring a blood drive in the gymnasium. If anyone is interested in donating blood, please contact the office at 832-5389. Our goal is to collect 10% more than last year. Please consider giving the gift of life. I would also like to commend many of our students on the number of hours they devote to their communities. We have students who have given more than 150 hours to their local fire departments, while others volunteer at their local churches, nursing homes, schools, and other worthwhile causes. Our students are giving back to their communities, and I encourage them to continue with their spirit of generosity with their time and talents. Mid-quarter grades close on October 3 rd with the reports mailed on October 10th. Any parents who have questions concerning grades or other concerns at Medomak Valley, please contact us. I have found that many times just a clarification through a phone conversation can make all the difference when questions arise. Lastly, I would encourage you to take the time and enjoy the magnificent autumn colors that so beautifully paint the midcoast area each year.
