Dear Warren Community School Families,
The school year has started off really well. We are using the First Six Weeks protocol to help ease everyone into the expectations of the new school year.
Some goals that we have for this school year are a new school sign, a gazebo for the playground, intercom system, and sound system for large group events in the building. We will need community support and will be doing fundraising for these projects. We will be sending home information throughout the year on these projects
The district continues to strive to make educational and instructional improvements for the children. In turn this strengthens our communities. It is important that we all stay informed and ask questions. After researching for almost a year, MSAD #40 will be implementing an assessment in grades 2-8 known as NWEA. We are piloting this protocol this fall. Before the year is over, we hope this assessment will help inform instruction. The world of education is always evolving and working for improvement!
Again, I would like to welcome everybody back and I look forward to working with you again. Please feel free to call with questions, concerns or accolades!
Yours in education,
Ann C. Kirkpatrick, Principal
